USP Students in Fiji without allowance (Father Brown)
ECENT POSTS
Terry Brown
The same old story. USP students in Fiji face exams on empty stomachs because no allowance has come. The attaché says to be patient but has no word. Can support again be mobilized for the SIG to pay these allowances before exams?

If students of SINU are not receiving their full allowances, how can USP students be paid...The fact is that govt. endorses more students to these Tertiary Institutions triple more than its budgeted estimate per student.

What has been happening is that they waited until our students are in a very desperate situation before they sent in allowances and i hope this will not happen again. I thank Rev. Terry Brown for bringing this issue up.

this problem about students' allowances is not new. almost every year students within the country and abroad are faced with this issue. may be the students should aggressively organise fund raising activities to help themselves when allowances are not paid on time instead of complaints about government.

Same old story. Students from other countries are enjoying every benefit from their respecitve Govts while Solo students are suffering in a foreign land. SIG seem not to take a drastic action to address the issue.

There had been a blame game btween the MEHRD and MoFT which always lead to dead ends. I hope it won't happen this time. we have been through similar situations but this present gov'nt is the WORST so far.

A sense of dignity has to be impressed more and more on the consciousness of any person in the contemporary society. There is increasing demand that people should act on their own judgement, enjoyment and making use of a responsible freedom motivated by a sense of duty. Government subsidises the allowances but each individual is very much responsible for the usage! ting ting nomoa!
